Ravs of Fall/autumn

Hay Lovely's

Are we all looking forward to winter: bone fire night then Christmas what's not to like???? I can wait but in the mean time I thought I would share my Autumn aka Fall raves!

Rimmel London Kate Moss Lippy in 107: Brilliant deep red for those darker nights. I also pat this on my lips during the day to give that hint of  colour then put a  lip balm over the top to gloss it out a little.

Lancome Bi-Facil eye make up remove (didnt buy) this is really good at getting that rock hard mascara off! great at the end of the day.

Benefit Bad gal lash: What can I say its a fav!

MUA Colour blast eye-shadow tint: Awesome as a base really cheap too only £3 The shade I have is stay and its a brilliant natural colour for any eye-shadow.

Lancome Teint Miracle in 01: Lovely and light for during the day, but you can layer it for a flawless finish.

Benefit Brows a go-go: Brilliant little kit if like me & in a rush this is awesome!

PENGUINS! I love penguins but I love this time of year because I can wear them without the funny glances :)

FOOD - Sushi! I love sushi and its so healthy for you. I recommend that you find a good sushi house near you and try it out! :)

What are your raves this autumn/fall? Would love to hear them :) Please leave a wee comment below! Thanks for reading & pop by again soon xoxo

Short Story Review: Twisted Sisters Glasgow!

Hay Lovely's

Now grab a cuppa and site down for a nice read, as I am wanting to talk to you about hair. I am no expert on the subject but thankfully my lovely hair dresser at Twisted Sister in Glasgow is and she shares a few tips with me every time I go in. So I thought I would reward her generosity by doing a wee review!

Finding a brilliant hair dresser is half the battle so when I met Marj about 3 years ago now it was love! Not only does she listen to you, which BTW hairdressers you have to start doing that, but she takes no shit! She tells you if your being completely outrageous: like this one time I wanted to go lighter and she laughed at me and told me no! Now I realise that she was actually right with my nice brown hair would have frizzled under bleach consumption. But still at the time I was shocked most hairdressers I met just go along with you, until disaster strikes and lies saying how lovely you look, when its clearly not the case.

Now Marj has found a new home in Twisted Sisters in the hart of Glasgow's Merchant City, which was a bit concerning for me as I thought that meant scary super-salon prices, but at only £35 for a cute and blow dry its actually rather purse friendly, with a real glitz about it. Twisted Sisters has stapled down the one stop beauty shop for all women: doing hair, make up & nails. Its a modern girls dream location to pamper ones-self before your birthday night out, crazy Saturday adventure or even your special wedding day.

Speaking of wedding days the lovely girls at Twisted Sisters will be attending The Scottish Wedding Show this October (did you like the plug) and have even done a few styling shoots already! See lovely picture below.

Twisted Sisters Glasgow

Anyway's, I were was I, oh that's right, some examples of there work would prob's be best help to you than me ramble on. Now Twisted Sisters doesn't have a website as of yet, but they are on the Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TwistedSisterHairBar & soon to be on the Twitter & Instragram (social networking at its best).  But I have found some, not the best, pictures of my after hair done by Marj, no before pictures were found funny enough.

what was that style everyone was wearing: Marj done it brilliant anyways.

Getting my colour back: Sorry for the pic (Marj)

Bouncy Birthday hair (Twisted Sisters: Marj)

Some of Marj's 3 best tips:

  1. Don't over wash your hair: Simple old muma stuff but so true now I was a wash my hair everyday girl until Marj shouted at me...but to fair she was right.
  2. Blow dry you hair up-side down: It will be a strange looking one if your drying your hair near the window but if your a flat head like myself trust me its worth it.
  3. Heat product or die: Shes always reminding me to use my heat protecting stuff, which to be honest am a 50/50 on that one because I always forget to use it while blow drying my hair.
Now am sure she has given me more advice than this but to be honest am hopeless so its best to book an appointment and hear it for yourselves.  Thanks for reading :P

My first one back will be a little different no haul or review but more what inspires my style.  Style is often described as a way of expressing yourself, I think this can be true but I don't believe that style defines who you are! Review: Benefit Fake up

Hi Lovelies

As you might have read from my last post, I done a little Benefit shopping and picked up their new concealer Fake It Up. Benefit describes this as a hydrating crease-control concealer, which hides dark circles and smooths out fine lines.

To me this is a nice concealer, with a brilliant highlighting power. I prefer this concealer for a night out, due to the highlighting power of this concealer. As you can see by my swatch on my hand its much lighter than my natural skin tone, the Benefit girl at Glasgow airport informed me that under eye concealer should be lighter, although I didn't think I should look like Caspar!

But anyways, the only bad thing I can say about this concealer is that its not for warmer climates, I bough this concealer at duty free on my way to Tenerife, where the highest temp at night would have been 20*C however the heat made the concealer to soft to work with and it kept sliding off my face, even after using a primer and stay spray. I believe this to be due to the conditioning balm, which can make the concealer a bit greasy. Ok, maybe their was more than one little problem.

However, other than the issue I had using it on holiday I would recommend checking this product if you like a very highlighted look for night time.  I hope you liked this little review, I have never written a full post on one product before and would love to have some feed back. :)

Lancôme Haul

Hi Lovelies :)

How is your summer going? Mines has been pretty hectic, and I can only apologies for my absence :( sad times. But am back with a little Lancôme haul. Debenhams were doing a great deal last month not only did they have their 10% off (LOVE when this comes around) but they were also giving away a little Lancôme gift bag full of samples with every two purchases.

I decided to pick up one of their foundations, Teint Miracle in the shade 01. This is very light weight but gives great coverage. Really good for a night out, it also has SPF 15. I also picked up one of their Juice Tubes in Melon: I heard that these were great little lip glosses and I have to agree. Not only do thy taste great but they are none sticky...win win for me.

There was a few things in the little gift bag but for me the best were:
  1. Lancôme Hydra Zen cream: which is a slightly thick moisturizing cream which smells lovely and for me is more of a before bed cream as it is a bit thicker.
  2. Lancôme Bi-Facil Make Up Remover: I was dying to test this out,as my friend raves about it so much but couldn't justify the price tag, but they gave me a 125ml bottle which for a free-be is well noting short of awesome. I haven't used much of this so cant really review it but so far its great.
  3. Mini Juicy Tube: this was in the red colour and was lovely.
I have loved all my Lancôme products and have to say have found a new obsession, if anyone has any recommendations for their products I would love to hear them. Please leave a wee comment below.

Benefit Haul: summer 2013

Hi lovelies

As you can see from the title and pictures above I have been a little naughty, shopping at Benefit a lot. I should mention that this was not in all in one shop, it was gathered over a 3 month period. So here is what I got:

  1. Fake Up Concealer: This is an under eye concealer, which I had to try as I have panda eyes. I am also planing on doing a little review on this watch this space.
  2. Bad Girl Dual: (was actually a present) Water proof eyeliner and lash mascara, amazing pick one up if you get the chance.
  3. World famous neutrals pallet: contains 4 powder eye-shadow's an two cream shadows. Review to come. :)
  4. Some Kinda Gorgeous: This is a fake foundation, second purchase of this love it for those days were you feel like you need something but can be bothered going all out. Try it, trust be you will like it.
  5. Brows a go-go: This was one of those buys were you see it you want it you bought it...on the plain. I have a Urban Decay eye brow set that I barely use so I thought why not try this one and I have been using it a lot especially for nights out. I might do a little review on this as it is a good pallet.
Have you girls/dudes picked up any Benefit products recently would love to read them. Please leave your link below.
