Fall 2014 - Wish list

Piniterest inspiration for fall

Hay Doll's

Summer might becoming to an end but that doesn't mean that we have to be all sad and gloom. Autumn is coming or Fall if that is your deal. Fall sounds so romantic to me and Autumn sounds so worldly but that is just my little input on the subject matter of what to describe this time of year...any ways. As the title states these are my wish or dream list for fall.

Beauty Babble - Eyeko London in Instyle.

Hay Love's

Now does anyone every just buy a magazine because there is amazing free stuff??? Well I do and this months version of Instyle (I haven't even read it to be honest) featured a free set of Eyeko London Lash curlers EEEEK!

Now these little beauties can set you back £12 but for £3.50 you get a lovely little set and a magazine. OK its all about the lash curlers. Now as many eye lash curlers can cast from £4.99 upwards in a boots or superdrug near you this to me is a total bargain. I mean Primark do nice pink ones for around £3 but they dont compete with these Eyeko ones.

I suggest that you stop reading this and head to your local newsagents to buy ones now.

Thanks for reading dont forget to hit me up on bloglovin or twitter for more posts :) xoxo

My Make up Bag - March Favourites

Hay Love's

OMG its April, I know everyone and there dog says it but I cannot believe we are in April already! The best part about April is that it is now officially spring...someone should tell Mother nature to get a move on with some nice warm, weather

Any ways.. So you will probs notice that my pictures are not of anything new, lack of funds means that I will not be purchasing any make up/cloths/shoes/bags/nail polish pretty much anything fun for a while...BOO...

LanCome - I hate that I cant do the cute wee sign today is not my best work as you can tell if you read further down...if not no hard feelings. This foundation is awesome, I like that its really thin so you can have a basic daily look or a dramatic full coverage at night look.

Nars blush pallet - I don't actually know if you can get this still but if not I recommend just buying any pallet that you like as I can say their blush is awesome!

Benefit - This product has been discontinued.

Benefit again - Great for a little basing before your foundation :)

Benefit (seems that I like Benefit) - Brilliant powder I do the shameful thing of using this as a foundation when in a rush and using it to set foundation. I know bad girl! But it looks OK to me so!

Chanel Chance - I have been using the perfume last month but I do recommend buying the body spray its like £28 compared to £50 for the perfume.

Nars products I get from Frazers and  my fav places to buy  (who often have 10% off...yee) all my lovelies is Debenhams

Thanks for reading and please leave your links below so I can spy your favs.

Steal Her Beauty - Rebekah from The Originals.

Hay Doll's

Have you seen The Originals yet on Syfy?! Yip am a geek but its really good anyways I am also a big fan of Claire Holt aka Rebekah in the show and though I would share what products I would use to steal her beauty look.

Now this will not be a tutorial mostly because I am still learning how to do my make up never mind telling anyone else and second I hate pictures of myself unless am drunk..and you can only comprehend how approprite it would be to blog drunk!!

Step 1 the face -

1. Primer - Now am guessing being a vampy  means that your face has to remain flowless which is would start off with my trusted Benefit Professional, as I dont want my foundation to move all over the place while am trying to look effortlessly cool!

2. Foundation - For that healthy glow I would have to go to my NARS sheer Glow foundation in Punja. Two coats for myself to get that over all deep coverage.

3. Set it in place people - MAC skin finish in medium. I dont want to look pasty, the un-dead look isnt what we are going for her so am setting with a nice medium toned powder, with a big blush brush, using big circular motions to make sure its even.

 Step 2 The eyes -

1.Prime - Using NYX nude primer I would put that all over my eyes and even under the eyes you dont want to loose any definition.

2. Nake Pallet p taking the 3rd colour in we are going to put that all over the eye lid. As we can see from the lovely pic provided by google search Rebekah's look her is very natural. So with a little blending blush we are doing to define the crease with the 7th colour in (failing that take your bronzer, if mat n use that). Then with the very 1st colour or highlighter of your choice add a little highlight to under the eye brow and the wee big next to your noise! Not to much thou...remember no glitter balls before 5pm.

3. Concerler - If like me your a messy bum why not try me wee quick trick of applying concealer, Benefits Fake up in 01 for me as a duel corrector/illumine for under thous eye!

Dont forget those lashes, not a big fan of fakes like myself then use something like Soap and Glorys Thick n Fast to give that extra umf!

Step 3 - Back to that face.

1. Contour - now that we have done the eye, you can give your self a baby contour on what ever areas you like to define during the day mines is just the checks, jaw and a little on top!

3. Blush am using the NARS Orgasim here to just lighly give myself a healthy glow.

4. Lips - Macs Cosmo is my fav nude lip.

5. Set it - Urban Decays setting spray n your good to go.

Step 4 - The Hair

1. Using Bed Heads Queen Volume spray some into the roots of your hair before blow drying! Failing that try using some dry shampoo to add texture (if you have already dried your hair)

2. Use a medium size round push to blow dry your hair failing that just turn your head upside down...let gravity do your work.

3. Curl - take a 1.5 in wand - mines is the Rimilton Pear- and big sections of your hair and start curling remember to rotate the curls to keep them form become one...and always curl away from face!

4. Spray curls with your fav hair spray mines is Loreal extreme hold - I need it my curls tend to drop way too soon other wise!

Tip - If your finding your curls to curly don't panic - take a brush once you have finished n give them a little brush through to soften them out.

Benefit Bad gal lash: What can I say its a fav!

MUA Colour blast eye-shadow tint: Awesome as a base really cheap too only £3 The shade I have is stay and its a brilliant natural colour for any eye-shadow.

Lancome Teint Miracle in 01: Lovely and light for during the day, but you can layer it for a flawless finish.

Benefit Brows a go-go: Brilliant little kit if like me & in a rush this is awesome!

PENGUINS! I love penguins but I love this time of year because I can wear them without the funny glances :)

Wish List: August!

Hay Lovely's

Now if I was a rich girl...this month I wouldn't actually buy that much! Em I think I may be sick?! No jokes aside I am trying not to buy as much but as it seems there isn't that much I am after either.

So what is on my list?

  1. Lipsy Dress coming in at £50!
  2. MARC J perfume in Honey £50.
  3. River Island quilted bowler bag at £40.

Review: Benefit Fake up

Hi Lovelies

As you might have read from my last post, I done a little Benefit shopping and picked up their new concealer Fake It Up. Benefit describes this as a hydrating crease-control concealer, which hides dark circles and smooths out fine lines.

To me this is a nice concealer, with a brilliant highlighting power. I prefer this concealer for a night out, due to the highlighting power of this concealer. As you can see by my swatch on my hand its much lighter than my natural skin tone, the Benefit girl at Glasgow airport informed me that under eye concealer should be lighter, although I didn't think I should look like Caspar!

But anyways, the only bad thing I can say about this concealer is that its not for warmer climates, I bough this concealer at duty free on my way to Tenerife, where the highest temp at night would have been 20*C however the heat made the concealer to soft to work with and it kept sliding off my face, even after using a primer and stay spray. I believe this to be due to the conditioning balm, which can make the concealer a bit greasy. Ok, maybe their was more than one little problem.

However, other than the issue I had using it on holiday I would recommend checking this product if you like a very highlighted look for night time.  I hope you liked this little review, I have never written a full post on one product before and would love to have some feed back. :)

Lancôme Haul

Hi Lovelies :)

How is your summer going? Mines has been pretty hectic, and I can only apologies for my absence :( sad times. But am back with a little Lancôme haul. Debenhams were doing a great deal last month not only did they have their 10% off (LOVE when this comes around) but they were also giving away a little Lancôme gift bag full of samples with every two purchases.

I decided to pick up one of their foundations, Teint Miracle in the shade 01. This is very light weight but gives great coverage. Really good for a night out, it also has SPF 15. I also picked up one of their Juice Tubes in Melon: I heard that these were great little lip glosses and I have to agree. Not only do thy taste great but they are none sticky...win win for me.

There was a few things in the little gift bag but for me the best were:
  1. Lancôme Hydra Zen cream: which is a slightly thick moisturizing cream which smells lovely and for me is more of a before bed cream as it is a bit thicker.
  2. Lancôme Bi-Facil Make Up Remover: I was dying to test this out,as my friend raves about it so much but couldn't justify the price tag, but they gave me a 125ml bottle which for a free-be is well noting short of awesome. I haven't used much of this so cant really review it but so far its great.
  3. Mini Juicy Tube: this was in the red colour and was lovely.
I have loved all my Lancôme products and have to say have found a new obsession, if anyone has any recommendations for their products I would love to hear them. Please leave a wee comment below.

Benefit Haul: summer 2013

Hi lovelies

As you can see from the title and pictures above I have been a little naughty, shopping at Benefit a lot. I should mention that this was not in all in one shop, it was gathered over a 3 month period. So here is what I got:

  1. Fake Up Concealer: This is an under eye concealer, which I had to try as I have panda eyes. I am also planing on doing a little review on this watch this space.
  2. Bad Girl Dual: (was actually a present) Water proof eyeliner and lash mascara, amazing pick one up if you get the chance.
  3. World famous neutrals pallet: contains 4 powder eye-shadow's an two cream shadows. Review to come. :)
  4. Some Kinda Gorgeous: This is a fake foundation, second purchase of this love it for those days were you feel like you need something but can be bothered going all out. Try it, trust be you will like it.
  5. Brows a go-go: This was one of those buys were you see it you want it you bought it...on the plain. I have a Urban Decay eye brow set that I barely use so I thought why not try this one and I have been using it a lot especially for nights out. I might do a little review on this as it is a good pallet.
Have you girls/dudes picked up any Benefit products recently would love to read them. Please leave your link below.

My Style: Spring 2013

Hiya Lovely's

It might be deep into winter now but with only a month till March, I have decided that winter is over and Spring is a coming! I thought I would share some of my essential spring items.

1. Handbag updates: Ditch your handy black bag from winter and up date it with some nice candy colour's. River Island have some great little numbers in store now and I have managed to bag (thanks to my BF) this little cream number.

2. Jackets: In sunny Scotland a winter coat is essential nearly all year round but for spring I have chosen the two textured jackets, especially the ones with the leather selves  I picked up this little number from Misguided.

3. Trend: I dont follow to many trends but I am liking the fact that lace is "in" again this spring.  I have seen this great little number which is like a black & white dress I got for Christmas from Forever21.

4. Make up: Fresh faced for spring would defo me my look. Natural is always best in spring as its the time of new beginnings so my Naked pallets will be getting used more and more this spring.

5. Shoes: Go bye winter boots see you again soon. I am defo a ballet flat girl so I will be splashing my cash here. I have seen these cute little ones from Forever21 which remind be of Chanel. so cute right?

Omg Just notice my main style for Spring 2013 will be nice light colour's like cream evident from all the products I have just pulled here. :-) lol What will be your style this spring 2013? Please leave me comments below.

Thursday

My Hits of the month: January

Hay Lovely's

January has flown in and I cannot believe how fast its went; not long till spring people and I cant wait. excited mucha! So here is my 1st little monthly hit list for our 1st month of the year. :)

Make up brush kit: Ebay

I got this little "MAC" brush set from ebay for £12 and I really like it. Now I doubt this is actually "MAC" brushes but they were unused in their original packaging and they are really soft. Over all I am happy.

Iphone 4s (Upgrade ppl)

I might be behind on the Iphone front, with everyone with their Iphone 5's, but I looked into it and to be honest I believe that the 5 is more hip than actual need. I got a white one as I feel it looks chic, and would recommend the 4s to anyone. :)

Urban Decay Smokey Eye Pallet

I got this for my Christmas from my lovely BF and have been playing about with it all month. It has been my go to set for everyday and nights out. :)

Soap & Glory Eyeliner set.

I have a review on this little set (here) and I have loved them all month. They have been awesome.

Last but no means least has to be my Benefit Powder

I love this little powder and at £24.99 it not cheap but it is amazing on top of foundation or on its own I love it. :) I really like reading peoples monthly hit list, and would love if you would send me the link to yours by leaving a comment below. :)

Monday

Soap n Glory: Kohl Eyeliner Review.

Hay lovely's

So all last December I was going to my lovely BF about the Urban Decay eyeliner set and how lovely it would be to get it would be if Santa go me it (massive hint for him). Unfortunately when the poor boy went to Urban Decay they were sold out, (he did get me the Smokey eye palette review to come) and so he went to Boots and bought me this lovely Soap and Glory set. (I am a spoiled princess and I know it BTW!)

Soap and Glory Kohl Set
The set came in a nice little pink tin with 5 kohl eyeliners: Black, Blue, Brown, Purple and Green. As well as 3 eye shadows; Black, Brown and Purple. (Which is a lot more value for money than the Urban Decay set)

What you get
eye lines set at the top and shadows at the bottom.

As you can see, the eyes liner are very pigmented, they are also very smooth and easy to put on your eye. However, the shadows at the bottom aren't so much they are nice, but I don't see myself using them as much as the liners.

Over all I would recommend this set, especially the soap and glory eyeliners as they are really good value. (They are on sale the now at boots £4 instead of £5 each! Here)
