Steal Her Beauty - Rebekah from The Originals.

Hay Doll's

Have you seen The Originals yet on Syfy?! Yip am a geek but its really good anyways I am also a big fan of Claire Holt aka Rebekah in the show and though I would share what products I would use to steal her beauty look.

Now this will not be a tutorial mostly because I am still learning how to do my make up never mind telling anyone else and second I hate pictures of myself unless am drunk..and you can only comprehend how approprite it would be to blog drunk!!

Step 1 the face -

1. Primer - Now am guessing being a vampy  means that your face has to remain flowless which is would start off with my trusted Benefit Professional, as I dont want my foundation to move all over the place while am trying to look effortlessly cool!

2. Foundation - For that healthy glow I would have to go to my NARS sheer Glow foundation in Punja. Two coats for myself to get that over all deep coverage.

3. Set it in place people - MAC skin finish in medium. I dont want to look pasty, the un-dead look isnt what we are going for her so am setting with a nice medium toned powder, with a big blush brush, using big circular motions to make sure its even.

 Step 2 The eyes -

1.Prime - Using NYX nude primer I would put that all over my eyes and even under the eyes you dont want to loose any definition.

2. Nake Pallet p taking the 3rd colour in we are going to put that all over the eye lid. As we can see from the lovely pic provided by google search Rebekah's look her is very natural. So with a little blending blush we are doing to define the crease with the 7th colour in (failing that take your bronzer, if mat n use that). Then with the very 1st colour or highlighter of your choice add a little highlight to under the eye brow and the wee big next to your noise! Not to much thou...remember no glitter balls before 5pm.

3. Concerler - If like me your a messy bum why not try me wee quick trick of applying concealer, Benefits Fake up in 01 for me as a duel corrector/illumine for under thous eye!

Dont forget those lashes, not a big fan of fakes like myself then use something like Soap and Glorys Thick n Fast to give that extra umf!

Step 3 - Back to that face.

1. Contour - now that we have done the eye, you can give your self a baby contour on what ever areas you like to define during the day mines is just the checks, jaw and a little on top!

3. Blush am using the NARS Orgasim here to just lighly give myself a healthy glow.

4. Lips - Macs Cosmo is my fav nude lip.

5. Set it - Urban Decays setting spray n your good to go.

Step 4 - The Hair

1. Using Bed Heads Queen Volume spray some into the roots of your hair before blow drying! Failing that try using some dry shampoo to add texture (if you have already dried your hair)

2. Use a medium size round push to blow dry your hair failing that just turn your head upside down...let gravity do your work.

3. Curl - take a 1.5 in wand - mines is the Rimilton Pear- and big sections of your hair and start curling remember to rotate the curls to keep them form become one...and always curl away from face!

4. Spray curls with your fav hair spray mines is Loreal extreme hold - I need it my curls tend to drop way too soon other wise!

Tip - If your finding your curls to curly don't panic - take a brush once you have finished n give them a little brush through to soften them out.

My Hits of the month: January

Hay Lovely's

January has flown in and I cannot believe how fast its went; not long till spring people and I cant wait. excited mucha! So here is my 1st little monthly hit list for our 1st month of the year. :)

Make up brush kit: Ebay

I got this little "MAC" brush set from ebay for £12 and I really like it. Now I doubt this is actually "MAC" brushes but they were unused in their original packaging and they are really soft. Over all I am happy.

Iphone 4s (Upgrade ppl)

I might be behind on the Iphone front, with everyone with their Iphone 5's, but I looked into it and to be honest I believe that the 5 is more hip than actual need. I got a white one as I feel it looks chic, and would recommend the 4s to anyone. :)

Urban Decay Smokey Eye Pallet

I got this for my Christmas from my lovely BF and have been playing about with it all month. It has been my go to set for everyday and nights out. :)

Soap & Glory Eyeliner set.

I have a review on this little set (here) and I have loved them all month. They have been awesome.

Last but no means least has to be my Benefit Powder

I love this little powder and at £24.99 it not cheap but it is amazing on top of foundation or on its own I love it. :) I really like reading peoples monthly hit list, and would love if you would send me the link to yours by leaving a comment below. :)

Monday

Soap n Glory: Kohl Eyeliner Review.

Hay lovely's

So all last December I was going to my lovely BF about the Urban Decay eyeliner set and how lovely it would be to get it would be if Santa go me it (massive hint for him). Unfortunately when the poor boy went to Urban Decay they were sold out, (he did get me the Smokey eye palette review to come) and so he went to Boots and bought me this lovely Soap and Glory set. (I am a spoiled princess and I know it BTW!)

Soap and Glory Kohl Set
The set came in a nice little pink tin with 5 kohl eyeliners: Black, Blue, Brown, Purple and Green. As well as 3 eye shadows; Black, Brown and Purple. (Which is a lot more value for money than the Urban Decay set)

What you get
eye lines set at the top and shadows at the bottom.

As you can see, the eyes liner are very pigmented, they are also very smooth and easy to put on your eye. However, the shadows at the bottom aren't so much they are nice, but I don't see myself using them as much as the liners.

Over all I would recommend this set, especially the soap and glory eyeliners as they are really good value. (They are on sale the now at boots £4 instead of £5 each! Here)

Thursday

Soap and Glory review: Skin Care.

Hay Lovely's

I really like the Soap and Glory products and I knew that many people haven't tried them (Please go try them) so I thought I would do a little review on their skin care products I have used.

  1. Dr. Spot: This is a little spot fighting gel. Which you just pop on any spot that appears over night and the gel helps reduce this. I have seen effects within a day with this little thing. I would give this a 5 out-a 5.
  2. The Fab Pore Facial Peel: This little tub is full of white cream and wee blue beads which you burst on your face to let all the goodness out. The product feels great on your skin, leaving it smooth and soft after your 10-15 minutes of bliss. I would give this a 4 out-a 5.
  3. Peaches and Clean Cleanser: This is a cream cleansing milk which is meant to be washed off once you have cleansed your face, but I just rum my toner over it and it works really well. I would give it a 4 out a 5.
  4. Face cloths. Clear Here: Deep Pore Purifying T-Zone Cleansing Cloths; were strange to use at first because they have a ruff side to them (the purifying side) but once you get over that they work really well. I would give this a 3.5 out a 5. and Off Your Face Cleansing Cloths; which are lovely and soft for taking your make up off. I would gives these 4 out a 5.
  5. Face Soap and Clarity Foaming Face wash. This is light and fun to wash your face. I would give it 3 out a 5.
You can buy all these products from Boots (here) or from the Soap and Glory website (here).

WARNING! Soap and Glory addict approaching!

Hay lovely's

I am going to talk about on of my favorite cosmetic and beauty ranges ever...and that is Soap and Glory. I was introduced to Soap and Glory about 2.5 years ago and I have to declare that I am an addicted. I have tried almost all over their products and what I have to say is YES this is a company which provides value for money! They have had a few things which am not to keen on and I will come back to that later but let me just tickle you with some of the products I love.

guys just to let you know I have either bought these products, been given them as presents or found great deals on like magazine give a way's...I haven't taken pictures of them because. my products have been used and look messy and am not very good at taken photos but I will put all my products together and take a big group picture so you can see what I got :)

The flake away body scrub was my first ever product and I have repurchased it 3 times (and the mines a few times too). It leaves your skin feeling refreshed and if you are a fake tan over its great for the pre scrub before you apply. I believe it retails at nearly £10 but it does last for months!

The Fab Pore Cleaner is actually something that I received as a Christmas gift about 2 years ago, I believe it retails for £10. To me this is a good product because it leaves your skin feeling clean but its not one that I personally have much time to use. I also think that if you did use it on a regular base it would become quite costly!

YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS! I love this stuff, like I cry a little when I finish this. The smell, the texture...its amazing! It actually smells like cinnamon and cake ( I have almost tried to eat this it smells that good!) It comes in at £10 again but its worth it trust me, just smell it you will fall in love! (plus it does what it says on the tin! who can ask for more?)

I wasn't to sure about this product when I first saw it. Mostly because of the price, you are paying £8 for 15ml of product.: which to a minimum wage receptionist is a lot! So I didn't exactly pay for this one; I used my boots advantage card points instead. The product does poor out the tube really quickly but I can say, hand on my hart, it works! I had this spot (I love chines food but it dont love me...it gives me spots! and when I say spots I mean big red and very unattractive suckers) and it would not budge. I mean nothing was taking this sucker away however, this little magic gel worked a treat! It cleared up my mega spot in 2 days which to me is amazing! I will defo be putting my hard earned cash down for this one next time.

The CALM ONE CALM ALL bubble bath is my worst Soap & Glory product. I got this as part of Soap & Glory's big pink bag Christmas set, and I must say am very disappointed. This products smells exactly like their shower gel, which to me is nice as I like their shower gel, however it doesn't bubble! This to me is a fail, to not do a simple thing like bubble for a bubble bath is unforgivable: I will not be buying this ever!

Guys, have yous got any great Soap & Glory products that I can try? I do say I have tried many more but I didnt want this post to be too long :) I will mention however as some might have read ELLE magazine are giving away the Soap and Glory mascara to there readers this month if yous want to check it out.

Guys sorry I forgot to put on Soap and Glory's own page you can buy from this site in the UK, USA and Canada just click here!

 some of my collection :)

Take care everyone xx
